Speaking from experience I always went into weight loss thinking that it would be easy and that I would get through this like a breeze. You know what the first time around I was right. The first time I went on a diet I had reached an unacceptable 243 pounds. I decided that I wanted to be 209. I went on the Atkins Diet and as I suspected I got to that weight within 5 weeks I was there.
I remember bragging to all my friends how easy this had been. I also remember being the expert at every diet now and being the one that could consult and ridicule everyone else who was failing. This is even though I had seen my dad fight his weight and go up and down my entire life. My male ego was such that I had now fought the bulges and won in one punch.
A little side note about the Atkins Diet. To me that man was a genius and we should have listen to what he had to say a lot more as a society. Given the time that he wrote his first book, we have to say that he really knew how humans but especially men could lose weight without going totally crazy and starving.
We have now lost this great man and with his death to me came a huge hole in the dieting world that will not be replaced. Sure there are the ones that say that his diet was drastic and he did make several changes to it as time went on but to me pound for pound Atkins is still the champion of diets in America.
Less than a year after reaching 209 pounds, I was now 256 pounds and decided to go again. So this time I tried LA weight loss. Another wonderful program I studied it then paid my dues for a year and never went back. Was it LA weight losses fault. Absolutely not they honestly have a great program that works (I will say often on this sites that most diets work).

So did I get discouraged or get scared? Nope, instead I turned to my male ego again and said no problem I will just do Atkins again and in a few months all will be good again and this time I will make sure that I keep it off and be more serious about it.
This time it took about 4 months to get back to my 209. Again instead of being smart and say man it was tougher this time, I was saying, I took it easier this time around cause I wanted to make sure I did it right. The weekend after I reached my goal weight, I was 224 pounds and then for years and years I just kept ballooning.
I tried hundreds of time to get going again but never could. In between I lost my father, started struggling in business, started battling depression instead of anxiety and slowly but surely made my way to 385 pounds.
I took many shortcuts in telling you this story but the main point of it all is. Although most of us obese people think we have low self esteem, the contrary is actually taking place. Our egos especially us guys will always make us think that we can handle it or accomplish it and when we don’t it is much easier to lay the blame on the diet than it is to lay the blame on ourselves.
So my advice to you all is to become you own shrink. Keep yourself grounded. In a lot of ways we have to think like world class athletes because what we are going to do is a lifetime commitment that needs to be the main focus in your life without ruining the life of the ones around you.

I was skeptical about this product to be honest. I’ve learned that when it comes to my body, to change something requires Dedication and Discipline. I had fat stored in my stomach area (even though I’m skinny 6″3 and 200lb). I used this product for 2 weeks.
